ABOUT EWS: SAFETY
EWS is committed to being a safe operator and employer, attaching major importance to the health, safety and welfare of the its employees, wherever they are required to perform their duties and conducting its operations in a safe manner. This also applies to contractors used by EWS, staff employed by customers who interact with EWS services and other persons who may be affected by the activities undertaken by EWS.
EWS has an established a set of rules and standards to ensure the safety of its operations. These rules and standards are continually assessed in order to seek continuous improvement. In enacting these rules and standards, EWS requires its employees to comply with these safety rules. This compliance is not an option and 100% rule compliance is mandatory.
Each year, EWS sets itself tough targets to improve safety performance. These provide the company with a clear means of tracking performance and provide information to further improve safety performance.
Later this year EWS will publish its first Corporate Social Responsibility statement, which will report on the measures EWS is taking to continually improve the safety of its staff and operations.
